Sam Daffin from DAF Sport Racing built his Ford Fiesta Mk5 to compete in the CTCRC Blue Oval Saloon Series. In the engine bay is a turbocharged 1.6 L EcoBoost inline-four featuring Darton sleeves, steel rods, forged pistons, ported head, and dry sump. The combo produces 312 hp (229 kW) to the wheels on a SCS Delta ECU. Behind the motor is an adapter plate bolted to a BMW 8HP automatic transmission running a Turbo Lamik TCU. Power is transmitted by a custom driveshaft to an Atlas rear end. The Fiesta runs an Escort Mk2 front suspension with six-piston brakes. The rear uses a six-link suspension with four-piston brakes. Listen to Adam Beard from Twin Engine Corsa interview Sam about the Fiesta in the video below.
