Tremec wanted a vehicle to showcase the world’s first aftermarket DCT, the Tremec TR-9070 DCT. They contacted Livernois Motorsports in Dearborn Heights, Michigan to build a special 1999 Ford F-150 Lightning. In the red truck Livernois swapped a supercharged 5.2 L Carnivore V8 crate motor. This motor is found in the 2024 F-150 Raptor R and produces 760 hp (558 kW) and 625 lb-ft (847 Nm) of torque. It features an aluminum block with a 94 mm bore and 93 mm stroke, 9.5:1 compression ratio, forged steel crank and rods, forged aluminum pistons, GT500 ported heads, and Eaton TVS R2650 supercharger. Livernois Motorsports also swapped Tremec’s TR-9070 seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). This transmission is mechanically identical to the one found in the 2020-2022 Mustang Shelby GT500.
