Tenn Automotive interviewed Trent about his 1979 Toyota Hilux called Granp4. The truck originally came with a carbureted 18R inline-four and five-speed manual transmission. Trent swapped those for a turbocharged 2.5 L Toyota 1JZ inline-six and Supra R154 five-speed manual transmission. The 1JZ motor features a stock bottom-end, upgraded camshafts, upgraded valve springs, Artec exhaust manifold, and Pulsar G39-900 turbocharger. The combo is good for 600 hp (441 kW) on E85 fuel. Trent says the truck’s suspension uses custom control arms, Viking 2-way adjustable coilovers, and triangulated 4-link rear suspension. Under the black flares are Superlite wheels (15×8, 15×10).
