Challenger SRT Hellcat with a Toyota Inline-Six

Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat with a turbo 2JZ inline-six

Austin Edwards and his team at Scrap Life Garage put the finishing touches on their unique Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. The team pulled the car’s factory supercharged Hellcat V8 for another project. In the empty engine bay they swapped a turbocharged 3.0 L 2JZ inline-six capable of 941 hp (702 kW) to the hubs on E85 fuel. The motor starts with a Brian Roche built bottom-end featuring factory crank, BC rods, Diamond pistons, and Real Street billet main caps. On top is a Headgames ported head, GSE camshafts, SPA Turbo intake manifold, ID 1300 cc injectors, and Artech 70 mm stainless steel cast exhaust manifold. Boost is generated by a Garrett G42-1200 turbocharger. Behind the motor is a Grannis Racing bellhousing, Magnum XL six-speed manual transmission, custom aluminum driveshaft, and Challenger Scat Pack differential with a 3.90 ratio.
