Mark “Wenny” Wenn started building the Ford Escort van called “Royal Nail” in 2006-2007. Mark raced it several times at Santa Pod Raceway before selling it. Adam Beard from Twin Engine Corsa tracked down the van in Ireland. It is powered by a turbocharged Cosworth YB inline-four capable of 600 hp (441 kW). Behind that is a manual transmission and 4WD drivetrain. Adam explains the van’s current owner plans to rebuild the motor for more power.
