Phil Dixon built this 1972 BMW 2002 with a 4.9 L S62 V8 from a BMW E39 M5. We shared the project in 2018. Behind the V8 is a six-speed manual transmission, Shaft Masters one-piece driveshaft, and E36 limited-slip differential. The car rides on a custom front subframe with an E21 steering rack, E30 sway bars, and HKS coilovers. Braking is handled by Wilwood front calipers with two-piece rotors and E30 rear disc brakes. A set of Enkei 16-inch wheels cover those with Toyo Proxes R888R tires (205/45). The interior features Recaro seats, black leather dash, and Tilton pedal box. Behind the leather-wrapped Momo Prototipo steering wheel are Speedhut gauges. Dixon Motorsport is selling the unique car on Bring a Trailer.
