Adam Beard from Twin Engine Corsa discovered another unique engine swap. This time he interviewed Matt Jones about his 1989 Ford Escort Mk4. The blue hatchback is no longer powered by a 1.3 L inline-four. Instead it has a turbocharged 2.5 L Duratec inline-five (Volvo B5254T3) from a Ford Focus ST on custom mounts. The inline-five is producing 320-340 hp (235-250 kW). Matt paired the motor with a M66 six-speed manual transmission from a Mondeo Mk4 2.5T. Listen to Matt explain the project to Adam.
