Morgan Evans and Jason Kastner from Torque n’ Tungsten built this 1987 Dodge D150 truck to compete at Roadkill Nights. The project started in 2024 when they swapped a twin-turbo 3.0 L Hurricane inline-six. Behind that they added a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission and Moser 8.75-inch rear end. They upgraded the suspension with Viking coilovers in front and Calvert Racing split mono-leaf springs with Caltracs in back. Morgan won the event in 2024. She returned to Roadkill Nights 2025 with some improvements. The Hurricane motor still retained the factory longblock but was converted to a single turbo using a custom exhaust manifold and a Precision Next GEN 6870 turbocharger. This change results in 802 hp (598 kW) and 740 lb-ft (1003 Nm) of torque. They also installed a higher stall Circle D converter and wider rear tires. Their hard work paid off with Morgan winning the event again.
