Jody Gunter from Gunter Specialty and his 1986 Chevrolet C10 Silverado visited Late Model Restoration for a dyno tune. The truck is powered by a 7.3 L Ford Godzilla V8 featuring a Ford Performance intake manifold, GT500 92 mm throttle body, Brian Tooley Racing Stage 1 VCT camshaft, custom longtube headers, and OBR Control System. Behind that is a 6R80 six-speed automatic transmission controlled by a QuickShift6 TCU. A custom aluminum driveshaft sends power to a Ford 9-inch rear end with a 3.70 ratio. On the dyno the motor made 472 hp (351 kW) and 511 lb-ft (692 Nm) on 93 octane fuel. Jody attended Holley Ford Fest 2025 where the 4585 lb (2079 kg) truck ran the quarter-mile in 11.757 sec at 114.16 mph. Watch the dyno session in the video below.
