This 1985 Volvo 740 no longer has the Swedish inline-four. It is now powered by a 5.7 L LS6 V8 from a 2004 Cadillac CTS-V. Behind that is a LS7-spec clutch and Tremec T56 Magnum six-speed manual transmission. A custom one-piece driveshaft transmits power to a Volvo 960 G80 rear end with 3.31 ratio. The wagon’s suspension features iPd trailing arm, springs, and sway bars, Bilstein shocks, and reinforced rear subframe. A set of Gemini 16×7-inch wheels hold Bridgestone Potenza tires.
