1970 Chevelle with a Twin-Turbo Coyote V8

Don Abenante built this 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle to be different. This NASCAR-inspired project starts with a twin-turbo 5.0 L Coyote V8. The motor features a sleeved block, Ford Performance Predator heads, Boss 302 intake manifold, two HPT 6466 turbochargers, and stainless steel log exhaust manifolds. The combo is good for 1400-1500 hp on a Haltech Nexus R5 ECU. Behind the motor is a Reid bellhousing and Extreme Automatics adapter bolted to a Turbo 400 three-speed automatic transmission. Power is transmitted to a 9-inch rear end with a Currie center section and 4.10 gears. The car rides on a RideTech front and rear suspension with tubular control arms and adjustable coilovers. You can follow the project’s progress on Don Abenante’s channel.
