This 1968 Oldsmobile 442 visited V8 Speed & Resto Shop for performance upgrades. The company used their years of experience to restore rusty areas while swapping a modern powertrain and suspension.

In the engine bay they installed a 6.2 L LS3 V8 from Blueprint Engines capable of 530 hp (395 kW) and 495 lb-ft (671 Nm) of torque. The motor features an iron crankshaft, forged rods, Hypereutectic aluminum pistons, Hooker cast iron exhaust manifolds, and stainless steel exhaust. V8 Speed & Resto Shop painted the motor to mimic the factory 400 ci V8. Behind the motor is a Tremec TKX five-speed manual transmission and a 9-inch rear end.

V8 Speed & Resto Shop replaced the factory frame with a Roadster Shop chassis. The front suspension uses a tubular control arms, large sway bar, and power steering rack. The rear suspension uses a 4-link setup with adjustable coilovers. Braking is handled by Baer six-piston calipers in front and four-piston in back. Covering those are Foose 18-inch chrome wheels designed to look like the Super Stock 2 wheels.
