RENNtech is building 12 special V12-powered “SLEDGEHAMMER” vehicles at their company in Florida. The project starts with a Mercedes C126 SEC which will receive an upgraded M120 V12 with displacement increased to 7.5 liters. RENNtech rebuilds the motor with forged internals, ported heads, “advanced” intake system, and equal-length headers. They estimate the naturally aspirated V12 will produce 660 hp (492 kW) and 650 lb-ft (881 Nm) of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed manual transaxle. We look forward to more details on the unique project as we approach the 2027 launch date.
Update: (2026-Feb-13) included more powertrain specs

I was just daydreaming about this exact swap yesterday! A stick shift option would be great.
Mercedes Benz M120 Engine, 7.5L, V12 60°. Bore spacing 97mm. Bore x Stroke = 92mm x 94mm. 💥
The ultimate sleeper…a SWB 1989 300SE with MB M120 7.5L V12…HELL YEA! Peeps heads would spin off when you eat 911s and smoke the homies whips! The only tells would be the quad exhaust and the monoblock 18s. Light ’em up and let them eat dust!
We are looking forward to hearing this drive wide open.
