We discovered this unique 2007 Mazda RX-8 on Bring a Trailer. The sports car came from the factory with a 1.3 L RENESIS 13B-MSP two-rotor but is now powered by a 3.6 L LFX V6 and Aisin MV5 six-speed manual transmission from a fifth-generation Camaro. The rest of the drivetrain uses a one-piece aluminum driveshaft and Ford 8.8-inch rear end with an Eaton Truetrac limited-slip differential. The RX-8’s suspension features upgraded sway bars, adjustable front upper control arms, Phase 2 Motortrend rear control arms, and Supermiata Xida coilovers with Swift 700 lb/in springs in front and 450 lb/in springs in rear. Up front the factory brakes were swapped to a Wilwood front big-brake kit with six-piston calipers. Those are covered by Enkei RPF1 18-inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 275/35 tires.
