Mallett Cars is probably known best for swapping LSx V8 motors into the Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky. However in 2018 they decided to work on a classic 1959 Chevrolet Impala. Under the hood they installed a 6.2 L LS3 V8 with a custom stainless steel exhaust. That was backed by a 6L90E six-speed automatic transmission and 9-inch rear end. The company replaced the factory chassis with an Art Morrison chassis featuring adjustable coilovers, triangulated 4-link rear suspension, and four-wheel disc brakes. Mallett Cars covered the exterior in custom red paint and added HID headlights, LED taillights, and American Racing wheels.
