Mechatronik spent many hours converting a Mercedes SL-Class W113 into this M-SL 500. The name references to the naturally aspirated 5.0 L M113 V8 Mechatronik swaps into the engine bay. The more modern V8 produces 306 hp (225 kW) and 460 Nm (339 lb-ft) of torque. Behind the motor is a NAG1 five-speed automatic transmission and Mechatronik’s limited-slip differential. The car’s handling receives a 20 mm lowered suspension paired with W126 two-piston calipers and 286 mm rotors in front. Over those are a set of Baroque 15×7-inch wheels with color-matched covers and 205/65 tires.
