1963 MG TF with a Honda F22C1 inline-four

This 1953 MG TF arrived at LHT Performance in need of a modern dependable motor. The company removed the factory 1250 cc XPAG inline-four and four-speed manual transmission. LHT Performance swapped a 2.2 L F22C1 inline-four and six-speed manual transmission from a Honda S2000. This increased the car’s power to 240 hp and 162 lb-ft of torque. LHT Performance spent a lot of time fitting the motor in the small engine bay. They had to fabricate custom mounts, custom transmission tunnel, and custom 4-into-1 exhaust header. They also installed a custom driveshaft and S2000 gauge cluster. Watch the work in the build video below.
