Mad Goat Customs swapped the factory motor and transmission in this 2016 Polaris Ranger. They first stretched the rear of the chassis seven inches. With the extra space they installed a 1.4 L Ecotec inline-four from a Chevy Spark and a AW50-42LE four-speed automatic transmission from a Saab 9-5 Turbo. The motor and transmission are installed in a longitudinal layout with power being sent to a Ranger 900 front differential and Ranger 700 rear differential flipped upside. The naturally aspirated 1.4 L motor typically produces 98 hp (72 kW) however Mad Goat Customs detuned it to keep the axles from snapping. Mad Goat Customs covered the swapped powertrain with a Polaris Brutus longbed.
