Tegiwa spent the off-season upgrading their “Tsuki” Honda NSX. The race car is still powered by a turbocharged 2.2 L Honda K-series inline-four and Hollinger MF-2WD six-speed sequential transmission. In the off-season Tegiwa upgraded the fuel system to eight injectors. Inside the motor they installed Kelford Stage 1 Turbo camshafts and Kelford Extreme valve springs. On the cooling system they installed a custom PWR radiator which allow the the water/methanol system to be removed and reduce weight. Finally Tegiwa swapped the electronics to a Haltech Nexus R5 ECE with their PDM16 and TCA8. The motor made 682 hp (509 kW) and 482 lb-ft (653 Nm) at 1.5 bar (21.7 psi) of boost.
