Alex Roys and Adam Klisares from Hennesseey Performance test drove their purple “Demon 1700 Twin Turbo” on the strip and street. The unique car is built by Hennessey’s internal skunkworks division Hennessey Special Operations with a twin-turbo 440 ci (7.2 L) Hemi V8. The motor features a Dart iron block (4.185-inch bore, 4.00-inch stroke), billet steel crank, forged steel rods, billet aluminum pistons, two Precision PT6870 turbochargers, and twin water-to-air intercoolers. The combo produced 1355 hp (996 kW) and 1202 lb-ft (1629 Nm) of torque to the wheels on 23 psi (1.5 bar) of boost on the dyno. Hennessey Special Operations backs the monster motor with a billet converter, Stage 3 automatic transmission, upgraded driveshaft, and 3.09 ratio differential. Listen to Alex and Adam give their review of the car in the video below.
