Marco Zakouřil and his BMW F87 M2 compete in the European drift series Drift Masters. The car was previously powered by a turbocharged 4.4 L BMW M62B44 V8. However Drift Masters stated the engine suffered reliability issues. Marco then swapped to a turbocharged 2.0 L VW (EA888) inline-four built by VAG motor specialist RTMG Performance in Athens, Greece. The built motor is capable of 750-800+ hp (551-588+ kW). Marco paired the motor with a DMA Racing Gears sequential transmission. Watch Marco compete at Vallelunga Circuit in Italy for the first round of 2026 Drift Masters season.
