Smitty’s Custom Automotive transformed a 1970’s Greenwood Corvette race car into a unique pro-touring C3 Corvette. Power is generated by a 441 ci (7.2L) LS7 V8 featuring Mast Motorsports heads, Ultimate headers, dry sump system, and Haltech Nexus R5 ECU. The motor’s 760 hp (566 kW) is sent through a BMW dual-clutch transmission (DCT) and independent 9-inch rear end. Smitty’s Custom Automotive upgraded the handling with a SpeedTech Extreme IRS chassis featuring a forged aluminum spindles with C7 hubs and overhead cantilevered rear suspension. A set of Motion Control Suspension remote-reservoir adjustable coilovers handle bumps while Wilwood six-piston front brakes and four-piston rear brakes take car of stopping. The restored Greenwood widebody covers Forgeline GZ3R wheels (18×11.5, 18×12.5) wearing Vitour tires (315/30, 345/30).
