Mach1 Motorsport built this special BMW E30 at their company in Beresfield, NSW, Australia. Inside the engine bay they swapped a turbocharged Mitsubishi 4G63 inline-four. The motor uses forged internals, Plazmaman intake manifold, custom exhaust manifold, and custom RWD baffled oil pan. The turbo system features a Turbosmart 5862 turbocharger, Gen5 ALV40 anti-lag valve, and Gen5 external wastegate. Behind the motor is an adapter bolted to a ZF 8HP70 eight-speed automatic transmission which is run on an Emtron TM16 transmission controller.
