Noel Valdez built his 1972 Ford Courier for the drag strip. Rising out of the engine bay is a Holley Hi-Ram intake manifold on top of a 6.0 L LQ9 V8. The motor features Brian Tooley Racing Turbo camshaft, 243 heads, water-to-air intercooler, and two VS Racing 67 mm turbochargers. The combo produces 800+ hp (588+ kW) on 20 psi (1.3 bar) of boost controlled by a Holley HP ECU. Noel backed the motor with a Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission and narrowed Ford 9-inch rear end. The truck rides on a Mustang II front suspension with QA1 coilovers. Read more about the truck at Holley’s article.
