Mikko Kataja from VHT Racing and his Toyota Starlet traveled to Eichenbühl, Bavaria, Germany for the 2026 Berg-Cup Eichenbühl hill climb. While there the team achieved 3rd place in touring cars and 5th place overall. Mikko’s Starlet is powered by a unique 2.7 L RPX V8 built by Radical Precision Engineering (RPE). These custom motors feature a 65 mm stroke, 81 mm bore, flat-plane crankshaft, Cosworth pistons, VHT Racing-spec camshafts, and J.Kosunen-ported Hayabusa heads. The combo produces 405+ hp (297+ kW). The Starlet also benefits from custom carbon fiber panels by Haidea in Finland. Watch Mikko drive the car at 223 km/h (138 mph) and listen to a V8 scream to 11,000 rpm.
