Garage59 Performance developed their 1996 Mazda RX-7 for two years for Italian Superbattle racing. The coupe is powered by a naturally aspirated 2.6 L “26B” four-rotor. It produces 518 hp (380 kW) at 8020 rpm and 477 Nm (351 lb-ft) of torque at 7150 rpm on 9.8:1 compression. Garage59 Performance backed the motor with a HKS six-speed sequential transmission and KAAZ 1.5 way limited-slip differential. The car rides on Öhlins/Aragosta adjustable coilovers and Sikky sway bars. Garage59 Performance removed the ABS system and added D2 forged eight-piston calipers with 350 mm rotors. On the outside they installed Workshop Takumi aero kit and a set of SSR Type-C RS 18×9.5-inch wheels wearing Potenza Race 265/35 tires. The car weighs 1240 kg (2733 lb) with a 50/50 bias.
