Dutchboys Hotrods built this 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Nomad in 2023. Soon after it won Goodguys Builder’s Choice awards at Columbus and Dover in 2024. The wagon benefits from a supercharged 6.2 L LSA V8 producing 649 hp (477 kW) and 632 lb-ft (856 Nm) of torque. The motor features a Cam Motion supercharger camshaft, BTR valve springs, Cam Motion pushrods, 1.9L Eaton TVS supercharger, and 2.55-inch ZPE Griptec pulley. Behind that is a Bowler 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission and Inland Empire driveshaft spinning a Ford 9-inch axle. The rear end is equipped with an Eaton Truetrac limited-slip differential, Moser 31-spline axles, and a 3.55 ratio. To improve handling Dutchboys Hotrods boxed the chassis and added a Detroit Speed suspension. This included tubular control arms, swivel-links, and JRI coilovers. Braking is handled by C6 Corvette calipers with 12.8-inch rotors in front and 12-inch rotors in back. Dutchboys Hotrods covered the body in BASF Tahoe Turquoise paint accented by a SS-style hood, 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass side mirrors, and Forgeline OE1 wheels wearing Diamond Back EVO redline tires.
