Mechatronik is celebrating its 30th birthday by building and selling only 30 of the “M SEC” model. The company spent four years developing their newest model on the Mercedes SEC coupe (C126). Mechatronik chose to power the car with a 6.3 L AMG M156 V8. The naturally aspirated motor produces 500 hp and 630 Nm of torque on 11.3:1 compression. It is backed by an AMG Speedshift 7G-Tronic seven-speed automatic transmission and limited-slip differential. Mechatronik upgraded the handling with custom Öhlins shocks and Brembo six-piston calipers with 350 mm rotors. The body received Mechatronik’s custom widebody inspired by the 1980’s AMG widebody. Carbon fiber is used on the bumpers, wing, side skirts, and side cladding. Under the arches are Mechatronik Cross-spoke 19-inch wheels wearing Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tires (255/35, 295/30).
