1987 Pontiac Fiero with a 4.9 L Cadillac V8

1987 Pontiac Fiero with a 4.9 L Cadillac V8

This 1987 Pontiac Fiero no longer has the factory inline-four or V6. Instead there is an all aluminum 4.9 L V8 from a Cadillac DeVille in the back. Power is sent to the rear wheels through the factory Fiero five-speed manual transmission with a custom flywheel and Centerforce clutch. The Fiero rides on Koni shocks and Intrax lowering springs. Braking is handled by Camaro calipers with LaBaron rotors in front and Cadillac calipers with LaBaron rotors in back. Those are covered by SportMax wheels (17×7, 17×8) with Kummo ECSTA MX tires (225/45, 255/40).

  2. This is an awesome job. I also have an 87 fiero notchback, and this is inspiring. Love the paint choice, all the body panels, wheels, interior, and pretty much all the customization. Even the molding looks good left on, and the spoiler is a good match too. Great job!

  3. i have been wanting to do the same engine swap on my 1986 gt fastback. can u tell me where i can find the swap kitt and how hard this was to do ? thanks and love the car!!
