This Mugen-Honda MF-351 V10 is for sale in Italy with an asking price of €10,000 or about $11,848. This 3.5 L V10 made around 700 horsepower with the Footwork F1 team using MF-351H and MF-351HB versions in 193 and the Lotus F1 team using the MF-351HC and MF-351HD versions in 1994. The seller doesn’t indicate which team used this engine or if it was used at all. If you are looking to win internet points on your S2000 project this could be the way to do it.

A broken version of this would make a great coffee table. Just add some glass ontop
Would make a nice upgrade for an NSX.
Facts, it’s my dream build
Would love this for my MR2 , 150 less whp than what my 2.3 turbo made but with a screaming v10 with 700hp.. I can’t imagine something better behind my head singing! If I had this gorgeous piece I would make a hell of an intake mani to suck the air into the box with the stacks. Switch my AEM v2 ecu to an Infinity ecu, see what the compression is and go from there keep it all motor if I can help it. Doing a fully built Honda J35a 10.0:1 compression probably a gen 1 Garrett GTX40r turbo , custom one off Bisimoto billet cams, Bisi making them himself, Dart sleeves, 1000whp goal. Motor fits, and mounts modded and in the mr2 right now just waiting on parts, well some of them as the rods and pistons came in.
Probably a dead ad, but this 10-cyl would be amazing for an open cockpit prototype project, possibly a modified Lola/Reynard formula chassis mod to haul all the ass with.
Nonetheless, the MF351 is a marvel to beckon with
Legendary/10
Has this been sold yet?
So many people are underestimating the complexity of real racing engines. F1 engines have a 5,000rpm idle, sophisticated ECU/fuel/oiling systems (even the old ones) and some run so tight tolerances that they’re seized at room temp.
The absolute best a pedestrian f1 engine owner will get is a very nice and expensive art piece.
This one is more likely colectible unless you count with preheating unit investment and logistics or a general rebuild to make it run from a room temperature (good luck with that). I’d say it’s way cheaper to go with Judd GV4 if you count the run cost. Look at the hillclimb builds. That in the Ultima GTR is my goal.
