This one of kind 1955 Nomad is being actioned on ebay with a buy it now price of $650,000. At the time of this article post, there were 15 bids on ebay for it with none meeting the buy it now price. First I don’t think ebay is a serious enough auction location for a car of this caliber. I could see this car getting mature bids if it were offered at Barret Jackson much the same way John Schneider learned his personal 1969 Dodge Charger “General Lee” was getting no love at ebay. It is too easy for a bider to back out after he has already won. Schneider’s winner said someone bid for him. Even if that was the case, anyone could use that excuse and back out. To understand this one just needs to look at Barret Jackson show once. The high bidders are very frequently older gentlemen with of course, lots of money. I don’t see many of them trusting ebay enough to put half a million dollars up to buy something over the internet. These guys want to see the car in person and give the tire a kick.
