Chevy Cavalier with a Mid-engine Ecotec Swap

Chevy Cavalier with mid-engine Ecotec 2.2L swap

Ben Wootson started with a 2000 Cavalier convertible and over the past several years has transformed it into something crazy. Just about every type of major mod someone can do on a car has been done. The engine was swapped from a 2.4L LD9 to a 2.2L L61. Then the motor was moved from the front of the car to the back. It has a custom turbo setup and has been converted to RHD. Most of the chassis has been replaced with tubular support.

  1. Hey how much did it cost to build that frame? I want to do something like that with the 3.8 supercharged engine on the 04 SS. Please respond, I’m very interested in this build.
