  1. Well it’s not a Miata any more. As owner of a mint 04 Miata I’d buy a Mustang if I wanted one. Why mess up a perfect roadster.

      1. If you are asking why anyone did what they did on this website you are in the wrong place. This is literally a site about outside the box creativity on cars, if you want a stock miata check out mazda.com

  2. Get a lovely Mazda Mx5, put a huge amount of man hours and money into making it into a mustang… makes no sense… Why not just restore (or buy,) a gorgeous Mustang in the first place? This conversion males no sense lol

    1. Cause maybe this guys dream was to make his Miata into something unique and something that nobody else has. I’d rather buy a mustang and restore it.

  3. This is a bad idea executed right. Do I approve no, is it worth 25000, no. But hey, at least it’s it’s a muscle that can turn a corner lol.

  4. I don’t understand the people who make negative comments. If you have nothing better to say, keep your comments to yourself. The guy wanted to convert his car, he can do whatever he wants with it after all IT IS HIS CAR, Get that into your heads you naysayers. Learn how to appreciate others work. He did a great job and I bet you couldn’t come close to making anything like it that’s why you naysayers just keep it to yourself if you haven’t got anything good to say or don’t know how to appreciate a work of art. It’s his car and his money & did it on his own time-NOT YOURS! So, as I always say to those who don’t have anything good to say, just keep your negativity to yourself. Don’t say anything at all. Cool Crossover ‘Miastang’, if I may call it that.

    1. I agree. Too many stupid comments posted by Clowns that have no idea what it takes to customize & modify a vehicle. George Barris built many tv & movie cars that so many people don’t even know.
Educate yourself, do some research before you open your pie hole.

  5. Why not just put a 20b rotary in it with a supercharger sticking out of the hood and turn it into a real Hackjob! At least it would take your eyes off of the God awful wheels and stupid doorhandles not to mention it might even steer with out the 500lb v8. Ok I’m done!

    1. okay the motor alone in that car in the transmission in the mild Cam and all the Holly flow systems and everything comes down to about $11,000 not to mention all the bodywork the original parts like the stern-wheel the bumpers the front bumper the taillights the badges and a lot of other components that he had to put in this car to make it it’s well worth $25,000 in parts alone

  6. I laughed out loud while reading the description, then while looking at the pictures was amazed at what appears to be quality bodywork. If you look around at all the engine upgrades done to MX-5s then this is only the next logical progression. Lingenfelter does newer Camaros into Trans-Ams, and there are others that do similar work. Is it worth 25K? Not to me, but I can see it as a start for an interesting project for someone.

  7. I think it’s beautiful
Small two seater with Mustang looks and power
    How do you beat that
Body work looks perfect and the interior is beautiful
The Mazda door handles were never my favorite
But who cares about them anyway
Whoever built this should be proud
It’s quite a car and you won’t find one on every street corner
    If I wasn’t buying a Saleen I’d buy it

  8. Very interesting. Looks sort of strange but the concept, coming into a realization of the owner is pretty cool. I’d love to see what the weight and weight distribution is.

  9. This car is really a work of art to me. I wonder who owns it and if it is for sale. I would love to have this car. Please let me know.
