1966 Chevelle with a Supercharged LS7 V8

Ringbrothers 1966 Chevelle with a LS7 V8

James and Mike from Ringbrothers stopped by Jay Leno’s Garage to talk about their 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle called “Recoil” that took 5,000 man-hours to complete. The engine is a Wegner Motorsports built 416 ci LS7 V8. The engine features a RHS block and heads, Whipple twin-screw supercharger and every other upgrade needed to produce 980 horsepower. Behind the motor sits a Bowler T56 six-speed manual transmission sending power to a John’s Industries 9-inch rear end with 35-spline axles. The Chevelle rides on a Roadster Shop custom front suspension and 4-link rear suspension with AFCO shocks, and Baer six-piston brakes in front and rear. There are plenty of wild parts on this car but one of the most unusual for me is the metal seats. The owner wanted the metal seats so much so that it was the only condition given before the project started.
