John Szwarc built his 1969 Chevy C10 to be different. In the truck’s bed sits a 454 ci Chevy V8 with a Comp Cams Big Mutha’ Thumpr camshaft. The truck’s unique drivetrain features a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission connected to a Ace Champion V-drive. The V-drive sends power forward to a GM 12-bolt rear end turned backwards. To compensate for the change in weight, John installed air bags in front and helper leaf springs in back.

Hi John. Thanks for sharing your project!
Great build, is the radiator behind the cab in the aluminum box or is it in the front of the truck like a normal setup?
Ileft the radiator in the stock location with 2 electric fans side by side the box in front of the motor is hiding alternator – belts and pulleys
BTW, I love the sound of that camshaft.
Nevermind, I saw what you did with the radiator, beautiful job.
theres major upgrades to the truck you might like,on you tube at –c10 mid engine 454– thanx guys.
