PSI PROformance built this Subaru WRX STI for Jesse Trichilo at their company in Lansdale, Pennsylvania. The car is powered by a turbocharged 6.0 L LS2 V8 features a BorgWarner S475 turbocharger, 1000 cc injectors, BTR camshaft, and AEM Infinity ECU. The engine produced producing 794 horsepower and 657 lb-ft of torque to wheels on 12 psi of boost and 93 octane fuel thanks to K.P. Tuning.

    1. Borg Warner will be a damn sight more reliable and durable, sacrifice little in terms of total power, and only will give way to a likely miniscule bump in transient response with drive pressures from an engine like that with even a decent cam in it. Those turbos are built substantially more robustly, I wouldn’t even consider them competitors in that arena having seen burst tests and failures firsthand.

  1. Can one ask how the ECU/PCM/TCM set up works for the car? It’s a sweet build, gives me ideas. Thanks for the post.
