Hot Rods and Customs Stuff has debuted their newest project at SEMA 2010 and it is one amazing car. The project started by taking apart every piece of the 1961 Mercedes 190SL for a frame off restoration. Articles are claiming they used a SL600 for parts but the images off their own site keep showing a SL65. Either way they used a modern Mercedes for parts. The body was widened and lengthened to fit over the SL frame. The original 190SL came with a 1.9L I4 but that has been replaced by a twin turbo 6.0L V12 capable of at least 604 horsepower and 738 torque. It also appears most of the interior was replaced with the modern Mercedes’ parts.
