Randy Cook has written a book called Bowtie Ferraris about American racers in the 1950s and 1960s who swapped American V8 engines into their Ferrari race cars. The racers used the engines because it was a lot cheaper than trying to fix the factory ones. Although Chevy was the top choice for engine swaps, racers also used Ford, Buick, Chrysler, and even Offenhauser. Randy also ownes a 1959 Ferrari PF coupe with a Chevy V8 swap. The pictures and video are of his car.
