This 2008 Yamaha WaveRunner is for sale on eBay with a buy-it-now price of $85,000. The WaveRunner made its debut at SEMA 2008 powered by a General Electric T-58 turbine. The engine is estimated to make 1,400 horsepower but has been setup to propel the WaveRunner through thrust alone. For an extra kick to your backside and wallet, the engine has a custom afterburner installed. The turbine was installed using expanding engine mounts. These were needed to handle the engine expanding when running. There was also a custom fuel and oil tank installed in the front. Lenco stabilizers and a custom rudder from a hydroplane were installed to help with stability. The $85,000 doesn’t get you a finished project. It will need a fuel pump along with work on the wiring, plumbing, and fiberglass. Of course that will all be worth it when you set a new speed record at your local lake.
