This 1978 GMC 3500 Sierra Grande is powered by a turbocharged 5.9 L Cummins 6BT diesel inline-six. A 47RE four-speed automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels. The truck also features power steering, front disc brakes, and rides on a set of Alcoa 22-inch wheels with 265/40 tires. The crew cab holds a custom interior with Vintage AC and Dakota Digital gauges.

  1. I have mixed feelings on this one. Super cool conversion and I love the interior, but for a 1-ton diesel, the bed is disappointingly unusable.

    1. I suspect that half of the drivers with pickups seldom use the beds for much other than the very odd light load. I think his biggest issue is finding a place to park it.

    2. I have a different opinion on this bed so I respectfully disagree. This is a custom trailer hauler. The bed has covers over the fifth wheel hitch. Sooooo in my opinion this is a very useful and usable bed.
