Custom 1950 Citroën 15C9 with a 307 ci Oldsmobile V8

This 1950 Citroën 15C9 (Traction Avant) was originally built with a front mid-engine, front-wheel-drive layout. However at some point the chassis was swapped and converted to rear-wheel-drive. Under the hood sits a 307 ci Oldsmobile V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission and Chevy rear end. The 18-foot-long car rides on 1957 Chevy suspension and brakes.

  1. Interesting. Such a rare beast. I’ve only ever seen one in person. There’s lots of creative hacking here to keep it on the road. It’s both good and bad.

  2. While a few years later, it’s the same basic style that I recall General Burkhalter of Hogan’s Heroes fame arriving at Stalag 13 in. I think his had suicide doors on it though.

      1. Maybe yes, but it is very stupid reason then 🙂 It’s like mounting “Bagutti” plates on Veyron or “Gorsche” on 911 just because proper ones was not available
