Nick Plewniak is the drive and co-owner of The Stretchy Truck, a very long 1985 Chevy S10 with a twin-turbo engine in the bed.
The truck was originally built by Nick’s father Len Plewniak. In the mid-90’s Len was going to install a supercharged big-block Chevy V8 when he realized there was no way it was going to fit. He made room behind the cab by cutting the truck in half so he could extend the frame 46 inches. Over the years the truck saw several big-block motors and was raced at many tracks.
After sitting in storage or 10 years Nick took the truck off his father’s hands to race himself. Since 2011 Nick and his friends have been continuously improving the truck. The engine is a 580 ci big-block Chevy V8 with twin BorgWarner S400 turbochargers connected to a built TH400 transmission. In June the truck made 1,156 horsepower to the wheels on 27 psi of boost on a dyno.
