FabFitters Triumph TR250 with a LS2

This Triumph TR250 was built by FabFitters in La Vernia, Texas. Everything below the Triumph body has been upgraded with modern parts. The car rides on a custom tube chassis built in-house and is powered by a 6.0 L LS2 V8 and T-56 six-speed manual transmission from a 2005 Pontiac GTO.

  1. This car is completely awesome. I wish there web presence was a better outside Facebook. I’m not to far from them so I guess when I hit the lottery I will just drive down and talk to them in person…. lol

    1. It is a fantastic car and their current project is a classic Porsche with a modern front. Really unique project. If I won the lotto this site would start filling up with my wild engine swap projects 🙂

    2. I have a TR4A with IRS and stock except for using twin dual throat Webber carbs. It is quick but also well balanced and very tossable – big part of the fun of driving. Yours sounds like it must have a ton of understeer. How’s the handling other than in a straight line? These are meant to be road course racers, not for the 1/4 mile. Not being critical of your creation, just wondering.

  2. As long as it doesn’t lose the classic TR 4 lines. I think all the auxiliary lighting is bit much unless you plan. To rally in the outback. Otherwise, to use a good old Southern term, it is a bit tacky. My TR 250 is perfect as it is the day the designers table. Do kind of like the interior though.

  3. Does anyone know what became of Fab Fitters? The web domain is available, and google maps shows the address to be a residential home. The work looks so well done. I’d really like to know if whomever did the work is still making these chassis.
