The guys from Diesel Pump UK have just unveiled their new Mercedes W211 demo car. The car is powered by a 3.0 L OM606 inline-six turbo diesel with one of their quick spool turbo kits and new BorgWarner turbocharger. In the video below the team tunes the engine and continues to increase boost and fuel until they the factory exhaust won’t allow anymore power. The final numbers is 406 horsepower and 513 lb-ft of torque on 2.8 bar (40.6 psi) of boost.
With that kind of power they guys took time to upgrade the suspension and braking power with AMG eight-piston brakes. They also made the appearance match the performance with a E63 AMG bumper conversion and 19×10 Rotiform aluminum wheels.

406 horsepower at 2.8 bar, with stock pistons? Hardly to believe, but final results is great :))
The om606 is a phenomenal engine and well up to the task. Unfortunately, I can’t see doing this in the United States. I would not like to have an engine in my car that requires parts and service from outside of the country. Plus,the police would be on your ass if your vehicle was smoking like the DPUK cars do. Much better to swap a Toyota 2JZ. As much as 500 hp for a modest amount of money.

Hi I have w211 cdi 3 with lots of diesel delivery problems. Engine cranks but cannot fire up.
I’m looking at swapping to 605 therefore I may want to be furnished wth any changes I might face as I do the conversion.
Eg. Will the 605 sit directly into the engine seat of w211?
Will the oil sump also fit without haven to do any adjustment?
