The DeLorean came from the factory with a 2.8 L PRV V6 producing 130 hp (97 kW) and 153 lb-ft (207 Nm) of torque. Which is why it took so much distance for Marty to reach 88 mph. This 1982 DeLorean has no such problem thanks to a swapped turbocharged 3.0 L 2JZ inline-six. The Toyota inline-six produces 392 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque. The owner is still working out all the bugs but hopes to eventually run 11’s in the quarter-mile.

If you are going to travel in time, you should do it with style!
Nice ride my friend, the swap looks and works pretty neatly!
nice project man ! 🙂
The Delorean is legendary but unfortunately built with a not so powerfull v6 engine (a V6 PRV built in France with the alliance of Renault-Peugeot-Volvo)
So put an 2JZ in this is amazing ! and very difficult I think !
So congratulations 😀
I hope you will give it a better future !!
(sorry for my english by the way)
Has anyone tried to do a swap using a 3.8 supercharged GM v-6?
Very cool!! No one (well, perhaps an unsuspecting Honda owner) would ever expect to have their doors blown off by a DeLorean!!
Wow very cool, I love Deloreans and this is the first 2jz swap I’ve seen, great work, this girl should move quickly now, keep us updated on the progress
well done on performance,i personally would of chosen a 1uz v8 and twin turboed it and would of left the factory look wheels but each has his style well done u done good love deloreans there cool
