In 2017 the Dead Horse Beaters race team built a 1967 Mustang called “Samurai Pony” for the 24 Hours of Lemons. The team started with a Mustang shell and cut out the back floor and trunk. In its place they welded in a 2004 Honda Accord V6 Coupe front clip. This supports a 3.5 L J35 V6 from a 2004 Honda Odyssey and Acura TL six-speed manual transmission. Dead Horse Beaters also installed modified tubular control arms, BC Racing coilovers, and AP Racing calipers in front. The rear brakes still retain the Accord V6 calipers. One member from the team recently released a video showing how the car was built.

Below are some videos of the Mustang racing at different events in the past. You can watch all of them on their channel.
