Adam Beard from Twin Engine Corsa interviewed Robert Withnall about his Volkswagen Golf GTI Mk5. Robert built the car with a full Subaru powertrain. In the engine bay is a turbocharged 2.0 L Subaru EJ20 flat-four running the factory Subaru ECU. Behind that is a Subaru five-speed manual transmission and shortened driveshaft. At the rear of the powertrain is a Subaru differential supported by a VW R32 rear subframe. Other modifications include Bilstein B16 ajustable coilovers and TE37-style wheels.
