Kim Paetz and his Hot Wheels Turbo built Mk2 Golf attended the L8Night event in Germany. While there they went 10.07 sec at 239.4 km/h (148.7 mph) in the quarter-mile. VeeDubRacing reports the Golf is powered by a turbocharged 2.9 L VR6 producing 911 ps (898 hp) and 1000 Nm (737 lb-ft) of torque. The built motor is boosted by a BorgWarner EFR 9180 turbocharger. Power is sent to all four wheels through a five-speed sequential transmission and 4Motion drivetrain.
