Speed-TEC specializes in BMW motor swaps at their company in Düren, Germany. We shared a few of their previous projects including a S85-powered E92 M3 and twin-turbo S63-powered F20 they built. This time we are sharing a BMW 1 Series (E81) that received an E92 M3 powertrain. The hatchback is now powered by a 4.0 L S65B40 V8 producing 414 hp (309 kW) and 296 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque. Speed-TEC also swapped the cooling system and added a set of adjustable coilovers. On the outside they installed a 1 Series M-style front bumper and OZ Racing Superleggera wheels.
