Paul Anagnos’ Fox Body Mustang was built to drag race. Inside the cabin is a 10-point roll cage and it rides on a complete drag racing suspension. But the most interesting part (to us) is what’s powering this hatch. Under the hood sits a 5.7 L HEMI V8 from a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It runs off a 2005 Ram ECU with a Hemifever tune and a custom harness made by Chris Squire from Hot Wire Auto. Even though the engine is completely stock (including exhaust manifolds) it was enough to get the 2,840 lb hatch down the track in 12.0 sec at 110 mph in the quarter-mile. The rest of the drivetrain consists of a Chrysler 545RFE five-speed automatic transmission from a 2005 Ram with an Edge Racing Converters 3400 stall converter, a custom driveshaft made locally, and a Ford 8.8″ rear end with 3.73 gears.

I have a 67 Barracuda that I’m swapping onto a 2009 charger body/frame
Sounds like a great project. Do you have a FB page or build thread?
Not yet, it’s an undertaking that I’ll definitely be needing some insight on.
Do you happen to know what you have to change to put a 5.7 Hemi in a 2000 Mustang Any ideas on what has to be changed ?
I’m trying to swap a hellcat motor into a foxbody what is everything I would need for the swap ?
not a good thing
do a 426
to stop and not fuck around do a 392 if that
the fox body won’t handle the weight
and the frame and front end would need too much work
302 or a old 351 could do some numbers like 500hp .
even 318 LA or magnum would be awesome and I have two of them for sale in Canada for $9000 and they have a hp of 588-596 and in a fox body that’s a good number.
